The lone retro model in Kanye West’s adidas Yeezy line that otherwise features bold, avant-garde designs, the Powerphase dates back to the 1980’s when it was first released as a general fitness/tennis sneaker. In other words, no, they aren’t a Reebok rip-off. The clean and simple sneaker dropped in this version, its second colorway, in December 2017, featuring an all-grey upper and sole with green and red adidas branding and “CALABASAS” in gold foil. The retail price may be less than the rest of the Kanye adidas sneakers, but the quality is still top-par thanks to a soft, premium leather upper.
